Is 8gb (Macbook Pro Retina) enough for work today?
The question is about RAM. Is 8GB enough for modern development, I ask those who work on a similar configuration (Macbook Pro Retina 2015 Late with i5, 8GB RAM, 128Gb SSD) to unsubscribe. I wouldn't be asking this question if you could upgrade the memory in new Macs, or buy an old version where everything is open under a lid.

Too small SSD. Working files take up space, the source of one project can easily take up a gigabyte (if you shove layouts, pictures, etc. there). In addition, the SSD perfectly compensates for the lack of memory and this may play a role in the future. If I were you, I would take exactly this configuration and replace the SSD with 512 (well, or at least 256).
Shop, depending on the layout, can eat a good 5 gig. IDEs like Atom and Brackets are also a big hit, especially with plugins. Yes, and modern sites + chrome ... In short, not enough.
