Is 8gb (Macbook Pro Retina) enough for work today?

The question is about RAM. Is 8GB enough for modern development, I ask those who work on a similar configuration (Macbook Pro Retina 2015 Late with i5, 8GB RAM, 128Gb SSD) to unsubscribe. I wouldn't be asking this question if you could upgrade the memory in new Macs, or buy an old version where everything is open under a lid.
So, Macos with:

  • photoshop (layout only),
  • firefox with 20 tabs (habr, toaster, jimail, etc.),
  • a pair of terminals
  • skype,
  • music playlist,
  • open adobe reader + libreoffice
  • filezilla
  • Sourcetree (Git)
  • a couple of tools like heidisql + SublimeText + Brackets
  • and in the future maybe PyCharm/PhpStorm
  • + selenium for parsing (I plan to learn how to parse more at the same time)
  • + virtualka with Linux.
  • in general, all sorts of front-end tools, such as prepros

Will this configuration be enough for me for 3-5 years? I do not want to reach the memory limit in two years and curse the one who made it to look at the lags. I would love to buy an MBP 2012 mid (new) and update it as I need, but it has already been officially removed from sale. And in new versions, customization is joyfully expensive (and only 1 time).
PS I have already read quite a lot on Western forums, such as quora, where I also did not find an answer. Someone even calls MB Air quite worthy (you can also buy it with 8GB), but those discussions are from 2015. So I went back to my native toaster to ask this question.
If you look at today and a little bit into the future: will this configuration be enough for me for my tasks?

Too small SSD. Working files take up space, the source of one project can easily take up a gigabyte (if you shove layouts, pictures, etc. there). In addition, the SSD perfectly compensates for the lack of memory and this may play a role in the future. If I were you, I would take exactly this configuration and replace the SSD with 512 (well, or at least 256).

Shop, depending on the layout, can eat a good 5 gig. IDEs like Atom and Brackets are also a big hit, especially with plugins. Yes, and modern sites + chrome ... In short, not enough.

No.
For all of the above open at the same time, in my opinion - no. And you will need a second monitor, retina retina and size matters.
(I have desktop 8Gb archlinux, MacBookPro15 4Gb)

Should be enough.
