I once had a 15 inch laptop - the flight was normal, I cheated everything on it. But now I have a 17.5 laptop, and my wife's 15-inch laptop seems small and uncomfortable. And if you look at the monitors, and in general - after the working aimak 21.5, everything else seems somehow small. There used to be an 11-inch netbook - various perverts on LOR (linux.org.ru) often prove that it is convenient and cool, but personally I couldn’t do anything on it, except to watch a movie in the country, because my eyes are in a bunch, Fingers on the clave do not fall normally, and in general it is terribly inconvenient. Not to mention the fact that there is stupidly little space on the screen ...
So this is a purely subjective question - maybe it will be fine for you, but I would not take a screen smaller than at least 15 inches for work.
I've been working with 13" laptops since 2010. Now Macbook Pro Retina, before that it was Air. The flight is normal, it's comfortable for me. This is a conscious choice, and not "I have to endure". That is, it is possible to choose a convenient configuration and I choose 13" . But the question is subjective, after all, there are lovers of two 27 "monitors,
For work only a proshka. Air is not enough.
In general, a 13" retina is enough for me, but most of the time I connect another 24" monitor from above (so as not to turn my head), although 80% of the time I still stare at 13-ku.
For normal operation (especially for layout) you need at least 22 "and a full keyboard
