Iron for your server?
Good afternoon, we want to raise our Asterisk server, we need help in choosing hardware. There are about 30 operators per day, + -1000 calls are served. They write that the asterisk is not very demanding, and as I understand it, 4GB of RAM is enough for us.
You need the ability to listen to calls and record them.
Can you recommend iron? and how much memory to take (and how fast will it go?)?

Asterisk is not demanding on resources at all, it is run on routers, NAS'ax, raspberries, etc. The load on the CPU increases slightly if the connected channels use different codecs or when encoding/playing mp3. But any 10-year-old processor can handle it with no problem.
There should be enough memory if only Asterisk will be running on the machine. I have ~ 3Gb of RAM for ~ 100 users now.
