ipmi or ip-kvm?
There is a server standing at provider which sometimes hangs up. It is necessary to reboot the hung system without the help of support, since after 6 pm there is no one there.
Who came across ipmi, kvm-ip, which is better to choose in a very limited budget. Various iso forwarding buns are not required. The motherboard is not a server gigabyte.

As far as I remember, ipmi is not quite "autonomous", that is, it uses the resources of the machine. Whereas ip-kvm is a completely separate solution. Although it requires additional costs, of course.
We at ourselves use such PDU.
You can still use such and such boards, but I honestly have never dealt with them and have not heard any reviews either.
I use an internal KVM board

It is independent of the processor and can be connected to the IPMI bus to turn on the shutdown of the computer.
If there is no such bus, then you can run wires from reset and power through it.
1) change provider
2) change hardware - it's cheaper than monitoring around the clock
