In fact, the project has been “running in” since November of that year, and now we are starting to “bring it to light”. Until today, there was no spam to this address at all, only correspondence on the case. Why such a surge in spammer activity? And most importantly - how to deal with it?

For myself, I solved the problem with tons of spam to the mail of my own domain by transferring mail to Google servers www.google.com/apps/intl/ru/business/index.html , and for free. So I got rid of several hundred spam emails a day and saved hosting space as mailboxes partially ate space from the server account.
