Introduction to web backend development?

Please advise books that could smoothly pour into the world of web backend development. I know that there are various web servers (Nginx, Apache etc.), but I understand that there is not enough basic knowledge and concepts to study them. (principles of work, and everything related to the organization of a network and the interaction of its different parts with each other)
I would like a not very complicated book (I know about Tanenbaum's book - Computer Networks, but I understand that it is too big for me, I need something simpler and more superficial)
