Internet speed drops (satellite). Only restarting the router helps. What could be the problem?
Good afternoon, I have the following situation:
During the day, the speed of the Internet drops. The peak speed is in the morning (from 4:00 to 14:00). At this time, the Internet is stable: the speed is normal and no packet loss is observed. From 14:00 to 20:00, the speed drops significantly and packet loss begins to be observed. From 20:00 to 4:00, the quality of communication is the worst and the speed is the lowest. From 4:00 the cycle is updated. And in order for the router to start giving out maximum speed, it must be rebooted. If this is not done, the speed will remain low until the router is rebooted. At times, even during the daytime, a reboot is necessary to avoid packet loss.
The question is why does the router need to reboot to ensure a stable connection?
At first I thought the problem was with the router. Changed the router - the problem remained. The operator says that in the evening the traffic load is high, because the speed is reduced, but there is no answer after the reboot. I couldn't find an answer to my question in the search engines either. There was an idea that the reboot allows the router to switch to another server or something like that, but I'm the maximum teapot in this matter and I can't figure it out on my own.
Provider - SenSat (satellite internet)
Satellite - JCSAT 4B
Router - TP-Link AC1750
Terminal - SkyEdge II-c Gemini-e S2X IDU

Try PingPlotter .
The picture of the improvement of the Internet after the reboot should be clear and obvious. And after the accumulation of statistics, it will be possible to judge both the change of the route ( "server choice" ), and the specific node sinning with losses.
So far, in your description of the problem, the binding goes not only to rebooting the router, but also to the time of day. So the line of reasoning is not entirely clear. But the "before and after" chart is already a good basis for conclusions.
Most likely the system perceives it as a "New client" and the session is reset. From here, an increased priority is given to him (to the client, that is, to you)
Well, the connection is deteriorating because the number of clients did not export the operator’s channel in the evening
