Interested in opinions about the DGS-3000-28SC/A1A switch?
Good afternoon.
Interested in reviews of providers about this piece of iron. I read the technical specifications, but the experience with the long line suggests that not everything is so smooth. Either the firmware must be juggled, selected, then some misunderstandings arise. Interested in: how is it with collisions? How is his performance? If it is loaded with traffic to the fullest, will it not become bad for him?
It is desirable answers of those who used this switch.
Estimated scope - provider, switches of a regional interchange. If it doesn't fit, where can it be applied? Do not use as a flower stand.

I can’t say anything about this particular piece of hardware, but we use dlink almost everywhere, from simple DES-1100 switches to DGS-3620 and above.
Everything works well. The only recommendation - bought a piece of iron, updated the firmware.
The total number of switches installed by us exceeds, if I am not mistaken, 5000 pieces. The youngest 1100-16 models work in the most difficult conditions, we put them on long-distance trains as IPTV switches for in-train television, if you can imagine. I can’t even determine the percentage of departure, only a few pieces in 3 years.
Prior to that, he worked for a Moscow provider, what do you think, what brand were the switches?
I do not want to say that these are super-pieces of iron, but very good ones. Some write that there were problems with power supplies, but I have not yet come across. Most likely this is in a very cheap SOHO segment, such as home switches.
