IntelliJ or Visual Studio? Why is the second more trusted?
I'm doing JS. I noticed that many tutorials are focused specifically on MS Visual Studio and the attitude is like "WHO! VISUAL STUDIO IS POWER!" and "well, yes, some idea there ..." Why is VS better? It seems that there you can adjust it in more detail for yourself. Google doesn't really give any comparisons.
Installed, launched - hung three times ("Not responding"), after 8 minutes I still created one JS file. Am I running it somehow wrong? Help!

Visual Studio is great for working with JavaScript and I work with it every day, but it requires good hardware - a powerful processor, a lot of RAM, a hard drive must be fast, the interface itself likes good video cards.
I saw Visual Studio 2010 about five years ago on very weak hardware, it only started for about three minutes and still thought for about five minutes when opening a small solution.
How are you with iron?
Did you mean Visual Studio Code? ,
If we are talking about it, then it is lighter (faster) than idea, and sharpened for TypeScript
