Intellij IDEA not saving module dependencies?

Tried different versions of the Idea - they either do not see Grails, or the following bug is present.
I add the dependency of one module (application) on another (Grails plugin), click Apply, save - no errors. I open the project settings again - there is no dependency (respectively, there are compilation errors, on the contrary). The modules are clean, just created.

IDEA has great support - create a bug on the tracker and wait for a response

Maybe your project is based on maven, you don't put the dependency in pom.xml and that's why the IDEA dependencies are auto-detected every time from maven?
Another option is iml you have read only (due to source control)
