Yes, on one of the virtual machines, but you would need to decide what you are protecting the systems (VMs from): from the loss of the disk subsystem by the server or from the fall of the storage system. If your storage system is not connected directly to the server, then you can share a LUN for a VM with vim via iSCSI (one of the options - I don’t need details now, the main thing is the software’s access to the media outside the server) and designate it in Veeam as backup storage copies. If it is connected and VHDx machines are on it, you need a separate media for storing backups.
