Installing multiple Linux distributions on different partitions of the same HDD?

Do not take it for impudence, but I want to hear a detailed and thorough answer on this issue.
The maximum that I had to do in my life was to install Windows from usb / disk.
There is a simple laptop in its characteristics. You need to roll 2-3 different lin distributions onto it so that they are on different sections of the same HDD . At the same time, it is necessary that one huge section be available for all these distributions , for accessing all sorts of multimedia and documents.
PS Google gives all sorts of instructions on a similar issue, but everything is not as accessible to the teapot as I need it.
And suggestions about a virtual machine or about something third-party are not a good option.
PSThe question of what specific distributions are required for installation is not considered. Because "the customer is always right". You will explain to him. One thing is clear - for daily work; high performance OS.

Take a disk, partition it and install it.
All.
No instructions needed.
Modern distributions themselves find neighbors and add them to the hornbeam, there is such a beast as os-prober for the hornbeam.

Instructions:
1) install the first distribution kit, dividing the HDD into the required number of partitions, using one of the partitions as the root and not using the rest (well, you can use a special partition for swap)
2) install the second one using an unoccupied partition (if a swap was created in paragraph 1, we already have)
3) the third ...

the most important thing = protect your data with a multiboot system and understand which partition is used and what it is used for

Everything is possible if you want something strange.
At least 500 pieces. If only there was enough space on the HDD.
It should be noted that there are distributions that are unfriendly to others, the loader for such may not independently prescribe other distributions that have already been installed before. For this, you have to fix it manually.
Although it is enough to install the bootloader at all 1 time, and you can choose which distribution kit to install it when installing. Debian friendly.

The process has been described above. It is worth adding: when installing each distribution, make sure that "manual partitioning of the disk" is selected (or "management" or something else, it is called differently in each distribution). And then control that only the partition on which this distribution will be installed is formatted, and uncheck the rest of the boxes. A large shared partition can be given a mount point /home in each distribution and have the same user in all distributions.
