Installed an SSD. Why does my computer still slow down?
The lags are different:
long unused windows take a long time to unfold (a black rectangle instead of a window);
before that, instantly opening programs open for a very long time;
all animations start to slow down: for example, I open a lot of programs, then I press Shutdown, and a circle consisting of circles, signaling the operations in Win8.1, specifically slows down. (I also observed freezing of animations in Ubuntu)
Problem in RAM? memtest runs fine. I wanted to take another bar from someone and try with it, but there is no such possibility.
Problem in parallel use of SSD + HDD?
What could be the problem?

is your system on ssd?
what prevents you from replacing 4 gigabytes of memory with 16?
Well, what other SSD is the question. Some SSD - EMNIP, Kingston SSDNow V300, had performance problems that only began to appear after a while. For them, they even released an updated firmware with a fix.
And yet - how much free space is left on the SSD?
Look at the RAM consumption. Maybe you have a swap partition (SWAP) on a regular HDD?
One brake HDD can slow down the entire system. Test with only one SSD.
If the BIOS is set to IDE mode, then switch it to AHCI.
Check the connection of the SATA cables at both ends. Switch to a different mat. fees.
Check the disk and processor usage in the task manager, maybe some process is eating up all the resources. Perhaps even a system one, if the problem is in the hardware.
There is also an assumption that you do not have a video card driver installed. With it, the interface always slows down.
Perhaps there are questions to the SSD - I saw something similar on A-data - everything starts to noticeably slow down, it's not clear why, if it works out, update the disk firmware. Another good rule of thumb when partitioning an SSD is to leave some unallocated space.
