Indie developer of HTML5 games for social networks - still relevant?

Advise whether it is relevant now if we move into the development of games for social networks (VK, OD, My World)?
I am working on the skill of creating casual games on the web stack (HTML5 + CSS3 + JS + PandaJS), on Android such games slow down, so I thought, maybe I can reorient myself to social networks, while still in the process of studying.
