Increasing the control distance of a 2.4GHz quadcopter?
Bought a quadcopter:
WLtoys V686G for $110, it has FPV and HD onboard camera recording.
I want to increase the control range. Now the visual control range is 100 meters.
I know the frequency of the remote control: 2.4 GHz.
I started by replacing the stock antenna of the equipment with an antenna from a 2.4 GHz 3 dbi Wi-Fi router. The distance increased to about 120-150 meters.
I found the device:

It is positioned as a Wi-Fi signal amplifier.
I think to use this amplifier later for other multicopters, and debug for now on this one.
Actually, the question is: is such an amplifier suitable for a quadrocopter remote control if the frequencies match?
What can be pitfalls? Is it worth ordering?

The best amplifier is an antenna.
On the copter itself, the antenna should also be as efficient as possible. There is another nuance - the high power of the transmitter near the receiver, on the contrary, worsens the connection - distortion of the received signal.
And finally - there will be some loss at the place where the amplifier is connected instead of the antenna. You can manage to make things worse. Here is an example www.lan23.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=4175&s=b0199ea...
