Incomprehensible behavior of Windows after installing a sound card?
Given:
An ESI MAYA44 sound card was bought into the system unit, plugged into the PCI.
A couple of weeks everything worked, then suddenly Windows began to load only up to the logo with windows
. It was experimentally found that the system unit turns on normally without a card
. Question:
What should I do to make Maya work again?
Thanks in advance.
PS
1) I disabled other sound devices in the BIOS - it did not help.
2) I deleted the driver of the disabled card, stuck it in, went into Windows, installed the driver - it works, but after a reboot it's the same again.

Perhaps the sound card is in conflict with some other device (for me personally, it conflicted with one of the HDDs). Check how interrupts are distributed with and without a card.
Look at the application and system event logs, maybe what errors are thrown there?
According to your point number 2, I suspect that the whole thing is in the driver. By the way, is it third-party or do you mean the one that Windows itself installs? ...
