In what file format is it best to organize a project "cheat sheet" opened in VSC?

A little strange question :) but nothing comes to mind.

For each project, I usually create a cheat sheet - a text file where I write all sorts of routine things (like commands for the terminal), notes with code for memory, etc.

As a result, in the course of the project, such a long sheet is formed)) from this and that.

To somehow highlight it - I tell VSC that this is a shell script)) but in fact there can be a lot of different things - commands for Artisan, for example, Git, anything.

I want it to be highlighted even more diversely :) and it was possible to put markers, on which then with a mouse click it will be possible to fold this sheet, and so that in a folded form it would be clear what exactly is in this or that fold section.

How to do this? (I hope that I have clearly conveyed the essence of the need)))

You can, for example, in markdown - there you can write at code blocks what language is written inside.
