In what direction to develop (taking into account inclinations)?
Hello everyone. I can not choose in which It direction to continue to develop. I like to look for connections between different data and, thanks to analysis, solve problems, finding unusual solutions to problems, and I also like programming because it’s all there. And now I want to choose a specific specialty, but I don’t know which one. So far I have settled on backend development or data science. What should I choose from this? Since I am only a beginner and have only a superficial understanding of these specialties. Thanks in advance.

The SQL language is for working with ready-made data.
Clickhouse + ui.tabix.io for data analysis.
Python + Pandas + Numpy + Matplotlib + scikit-learn/Tensorflow/Pytorch - analysis, machine learning
Choose a specialization early.
Specialization is chosen when you get secondary education. And judging by your question, you are not even an advanced user in IT.
IT is an area where there is a LOT to learn. And if you wrote a couple of programs with a backend and a front part, it means that you just picked these areas from above.
Do everything. You will choose a specialization in 3-4 years
The question "what to be - a pilot or a miner" ("back-end developer" or "data scientist") is usually decided by the end of school. Remember that DS requires a rigorous math background. For a programmer, the ability to think logically and perseverance is more important.
Judging by the question - you still have a couple of years of time to choose from.
PS And yes, the profession "backender" does not exist. There is a profession "programmer". And any university teaches programming, not "programming the backend".
