In-app placement of movies, music, books, pictures...?

Hello! Can you please explain whether it is possible to publish (embed) videos, music, books (not your own), images into applications?
It turns out not clear. The store has many applications such as "Children's Audio Tales", movie libraries containing movies and series. Isn't this a copyright infringement?
I just want to post let's say a whole chapter from one book. Approximately 50 pages. I do not need to negotiate with the author and unfasten his money? Please explain the issue. Or can you post whatever you want? And can I change a couple of sentences myself from the book?
In general, what happens for posting content owned by other companies? I'm not going to post. Just curious to know what happened? Thank you for your efforts to answer my annoying, but still I think it is an important question for many, especially in our country now they are trying hard to respect copyright.

Oops, you chose the wrong resource for the question. We are here about programming, not about legal subtleties. You can read copyright law first.

Google "copyright" and "intellectual property". Most literary, artistic and other works have become "public property", and they can be used. In order for a work to become "public property" (I'm not sure of the legal accuracy of the term) - a certain number of years must pass from the moment of its publication / creation.
If it is difficult for you to understand this issue yourself, then:
a) Look for a lawyer. He will help.
b) Don't post anything you're not sure about.
