In android studio is it better to use xml or visual editor?

In android studio, to design an activity, you can use both an xml file and a visual editor. What is better to use and what is considered best practice? It seems that I heard xml, but again you can make the basis on the editor, and finish the rest of the little things already from xml?

Use whichever is more convenient for you. Usually they combine work with a visual editor and xml.
