How to build apk from github sources?

I want to compile and install this application:
https://github.com/GhostFlying/image-to-camera
I have never dealt with android programming.
Knowledgeable people, tell me the way.
Like: "clone the turnip from the git, then install the android studio, set up this and that and press this and you will have apk"

Colleagues, welcome!
Since we are all here, I will reformulate my question)
There is an application that turns on the camera and wants to get a photo from it.
I do not agree with this behavior and want to give the application a photo taken in advance.
I found the Fake Camera application - link
But none of my installed applications ask me to select a camera, all applications on the phone immediately launch the default camera.
Settings - Applications - Camera - default application - everything is empty.
I went to download Android studio and found an android emulator there. Install ManyCam, set the picture as the camera source. The regular camera application on the emulator seems to see the picture. It seems to be - this means in video mode, when I switch to photo mode - it gives an error.
But the second problem appeared, I can’t install the desired application from Google Play, as it swears at an incompatible device "Google emulator ai something there."
A number of questions arose:
1. Is it possible to rename the device in the emulator so that it is called as a phone, and not as an emulator? Then, perhaps, I can get by with a crutch through forwarding the image to the webcam driver /
2. Is it possible to change the camera application on a non-rooted phone?
3. How can I change the camera on a rooted phone? I have a Samsung Galaxy note 3 at my disposal.
While looking for a solution, I came across such a page with sources, but I don’t understand if this is useful or not in the topic link
