Importing a variable into another file while a program is running?

Hello, I have a question.
There is a main.py file. Some code is executed there, and in this file I am given three elements to choose from.
I choose one of them, put this element in a separate variable. And I need to import this element into another file during the execution of the program (main.py). How can this be done?
