Images not showing in open PSD?

Good day to all!
I am a beginner layout designer. So I decided to practice making up something according to the PSD template. But I found a problem: when opening a file with this extension, pictures are not displayed. There is a logo, text, markup, but no pictures.
If you have any advice or suggestions, I'd be grateful!
