Illumination of the matrix imac 27 2012 - marriage or the norm?

imac 27 2012
on a black background, the matrix is not evenly illuminated - spots in the corners.
in all other colors everything is fine, the question is:
is this a marriage of the matrix or can you live happily ever after with this?
Does the matrix / backlight degrade even more over time?

This effect is called glow - and is constantly present on all monitors with matrices made using IPS technology. The degree of error in its strength can be quite significant, if the glow is especially pronounced as a spot at one point, and not evenly from the corners, then in principle such monitors are ready to be replaced under warranty, but this is not your case, everything is fine with you, don’t worry, you will live with them happily ever after :)

I have a little on the right on my iMac 2013, this is a feature of the backlight, it’s probably difficult to evenly illuminate on large matrices, for this you need to arrange the lamps over the entire plane, I had such a monitor, it ate about 60 watts at 23 inches.

This not normal. From the factory, Apple displays should not have such highlights. Most likely, you have a glued display (that is, the device was disassembled and assembled). I had this on my device, and I didn’t even know that I had purchased a repair mac. I only found out when I myself had to take it to the service. This problem occurs due to pinched corners. If this "out of the box" occurs, Apple changes or repairs (replacement of the adhesive circuit), as I was told in the service. After buying a new one (17th year), this didn’t happen, I took it to the service (for a different reason), after the service this effect appeared, now I’m talking with Apple about this.

On all the monitors that I saw in the dark, there was the same or a similar effect, but what kind of white stripe is that on top?
