If you take a photo (not from photo stocks) and make a credits section on the site, where the sources of the photo will be indicated, will this be a violation of copyright?

If you take a photo (not from photo stocks) and make a credits section on the site where the sources of the photo will be indicated, will this be a violation of copyright? Can I use the photos on the site in this way without fear of claims?

If the photo was not originally published under CC-BY, or similar (or freer), then attribution and attribution to the source do not serve as an excuse for violating the license.
If the photos are published under CC-BY or similar, then the attribution and link to the source given somewhere in the bowels of the site separately from the photos themselves can serve as a basis for claims.
