If we ignore the question: “Why?”, Will Windows XP with 1GB of RAM pull the modern Internet?
There is a working laptop with an HP Compaq n410c docking station, where the FDD is dead, but the CD-ROM plows, the laptop supports a maximum of 1GB of So-DIMM RAM, if you put an SSD as a system drive through an adapter or dig out an IDE SSD, will it pull on this Windows XP/Windows 2003 Modern Internet? sites like:
youtube.com
vk.com
habrahabr.ru
ixbt.ru
etc.

Will work, but with decent work. Just open any of the sites in your favorite browser and see how many processes in the task manager are actually running (a stone in the chromium garden) and the total amount of memory occupied.
Virtual memory doesn't help. For the poorest ddr2, the throughput is 3 gigabytes per second. Compare with a cool SSD at 500 megabytes per second (access time to an arbitrary piece of information is 0.5 ms). The slowdown in the most ideal case without taking into account other factors is at least 6 times.
Linux + text browser like lynx / links - will fly EVERYTHING on 128 megabytes of RAM due to the fact that JavaScript, CSS, Flash and pictures for these browsers are empty words. At all...
But the end user will not like it too much. The same authorization in VK will be a rather unusual quest. There is a version for Windows to see.
links.twibright.com/download.php - here even with support for images and some JS.

Is there really a Pentium IIIM?
And is it still breathing? :-) wonders.
Forget about the video - the percentage will not pull. Pentium 4 did not pull already 7 years ago, and this one is even older. And about the rest ... if PIII, then this is a real mammoth.
