If there is no AHCI support, is it worth installing an SSD?

There is an old computer on MSI P35 NEO Combo, there is also a free SSD, but the problem is that everywhere they write about the need to enable AHCI for reliable SSD operation, and the motherboard does not have such a function. What's the best way to do it?

There is a computer with a motherboard on the P41 chip and Core2Duo. Now I can’t see if there is AHCI there and in what mode the HDD works - IDE emulation or not, and I didn’t pay attention to it. The second year in it is a system on SSD 120G - there are no problems.
Of course put!

Yes, of course, put it, what difference does it make to ahci, disks are always consumables and backup is our everything

P35 without AHCI? Are you sure?
Integrated Peripherals / On-Chip ATA Devices / On-Chip SATA Controller is there a separate menu and can I select only IDE emulation?
