If I buy an Amazon EC2 with Windows on board, what is the minimum size of an SSD?

I opened the Amazon AWS calculator using this link to create a virtual machine:
https://calculator.aws/#/createCalculator/EC2

I choose Windows Server, number of processors and RAM. At the bottom, it suggests choosing a storage - you can install at least 1 GB, at least 100 GB. At the same time, Windows Server itself, according to its documentation, requires a minimum of 32 GB for installation.

Question: should I choose a storage strictly larger than 32 gigabytes, or can I choose less (that is, the distribution kit of the OS itself is stored somewhere else and will not be taken into account in this storage)?

And yes, there you can choose different types of storage - can you tell me which one is better for writing several bytes to a PostgreSQL database every second around the clock? (this will be the only load on the server)

A minimum of 30GB is the disk size that is the default when raising the server on Windows (when using the "standard" image).
