IDE or editor?

Hello! I am new to the frontend and so far I have not had to use the IDE, but everyone around them just says that change to the IDE, it will come in handy in the end, don't waste your time, everything they say is out of the box. I see in this only extremely slowing down the program, on ssd, i3 it starts in about 12-14 seconds (PhpStorm), not a project, but just a program, Windows starts in 8 seconds. How to understand whether it is necessary, and the question is for those who sit on the IDE, do you notice such brakes?

Sublime is more than enough for front-end at the junior level. Fast, convenient, what else do you need?
The advantages of an IDE are more noticeable on the backend and complex front, when at least a compiler is required

And why launch it?) I opened it once and that's it, then you move around the projects.
I, on the contrary, tried to leave PhpStorm for Atom.
2 months and returned.
On the other hand, I have a familiar layout designer who has been typesetting in Notepad ++ for 5 years

I've been doing web programming for 4 years already. both front and back, and I didn't need anything cooler than notepad ++) everything else is show-off and nothing more.
but if you are a game dev, then an IDE is better
