Looking for an ICQ client for Ubuntu 11.10. The sister uses the system, so the main requirement is “emoticons like in Qip”. I tried Qip under Vine, somehow it really bugs out (can it be solved somehow?). Is there anything like that?

Emoticons kolobok are integrated into pidgin without problems.

I use Pidgin + my own set of emoticons (complete analogue of emoticons from Qip).
