iBook G4 and music software?

Good afternoon. Tell me please.
I recently purchased a midi keyboard and am learning how to play it. I bought an external sound card behringer u202 at home, I play macos garageband.
Now there is a need to buy a laptop in order to take it with you and play outside the home, but there is not much money, and there is no desire to buy a new laptop, only to occasionally play. I saw an old ibook g4 with 1.25GB of RAM sold for 6500 rubles.
Tell me if such an old laptop is suitable for working with garageband (or other music software), how it has sound, whether there will be a big delay, noise, whether you will need to carry your external sound card with you.
Can you give advice on how to do the best thing, what to buy, etc. I can’t carry a heavy laptop.

Garageband is listed in the Software section of the iBook G4 specifications. It will go accordingly. But as for the latest version, there are doubts.

ibook is a good thing, but at this price they are not often given away and you should be prepared for the fact that Akum will die soon, or is already dead

MacOS has been working exclusively on x86 for a long time. And why do you need this junk?
PS I myself have an eMac G4 in the corner, so even at that time (probably 9 years ago) it did not make sense to put anything newer than MacOS X 10.2 on it because of low performance.

Worked for me on such Ableton Live.
There are no delays. Noise / interference - no. I did not feel the need for an external card.
Of the shortcomings - it is heavy. But you don’t have to carry the charger with you - it can work for 5 hours.
