I want to split a single hard drive into two. Adviсe?

Good afternoon. I have only one hard drive on my laptop, and I want to split it into two partitions. "C" and "D" The
question is asked, when reinstalling windows - will the files on the partitioned disk "D" disappear?

If you do not divide and reinstall on a single disk, then the files will not be lost anyway

When installing WIndows, starting with Windows 7 - it is always offered to save files. And if the disks are not formatted, then all your data will remain.
Times when divided disks into sections - a relic of the past. It doesn't make any sense or benefit.

Data will not be lost during reinstallation, unless you specifically delete them.
And there is absolutely no difference where the data will be - in C or in D.
