I want to migrate a project from MediaWiki to WordPress
There is a site on the MediaWiki engine. The site is built according to a scheme similar to WP - there is a mountain of articles, articles are grouped into categories. There are also pictures (about giga).
Since the choice of a hard-to-control engine at the very beginning was unreasonable (I don’t want to offend anyone), there was a strong desire to translate everything into a WordPress that became understandable and convenient over time.
Google did not give anything sensible, the only thing I understood was that you can export data from the media wiki to XML, while WordPress, in turn, can accept XML at the input, the difference is only in the heterogeneous formats of this data.
I appeal to the general mind - did anyone have to solve this problem? There is no great desire to invent something new, I want to use a ready-made utility or script.
I will be immensely grateful.
