I want to make games like in the 80s, can I benefit from this?
I've always liked retro and fantasy consoles. And I'm thinking of starting to create something on them, but how can this result in something useful? After all, very few people play games from old consoles. Of course, you can single it out as a hobby, but I want to go into it head over heels with a pure heart, and not devote an hour a day to it or score on my own business.

If you are interested in exactly the graphics of the 80s, then try to make modern games with pixel graphics, examples: Into The Breach, Broforce, Noita.
If you are talking about the gameplay of the 80s, then it is unlikely that this can "result into something useful."
you definitely don’t need to make games like in 80x. (It will be too dreary)
but you can use graphics that will be similar to 80x graphics while using modern engines so that people can play them. Then yes)
It's just that if there is no one to share with, then you can die)
It won't bring you money. As entertainment, you can make toys as much as you like.
The benefit will be that you will improve programming and game design.
