I want to make a character leveling system like in GTA sa, what should I do?

I want to create a character pumping simulator, well, there the player just presses a button and power is pumping, but I want to implement pumping like in GTA sa in a rocking chair (whoever played will understand that when you start to swing with a barbell or on a treadmill, then there is a strip that displays how hard or fast the player presses the button)
if I put this game on the play market and enter advertising there, will the rockstar players sue for using a similar pumping system as in GTA sa? Or what other games have the same leveling system?
PS I know that rockstar people are unlikely to sue those who have no money, but still, just in case

You make a counter of clicks, and reduce it by the timer (by how much, depends on the "weight").
