I set a password to enter phpMyAdmin, the site on joomla stopped working, how to fix it?

I
don’t understand how the site works.
There was a problem, I forgot my administrator password for a couple of years, I decided to reset it, for this I connected to phpMyAdmin and set a password (xs, it was there before and what it was). I found my data in the database, reset the password, but already at the moment when I set the password for phpMyAdmin, the site stopped working, writes "Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"
I guess the site cannot get data from db since I changed my password in phpMyAdmin. Help fix

In the configuration.php file, change the password for the database to the current one.
