I plan to switch to Ubuntu, which Windows should I pair?

I plan to switch to Linux little by little, now it's Windows 10, it's been a very long time, and the system has "got stuck", I plan to rearrange it.
I plan to sit on Ubuntu for work, and on Windows to have fun.
There is a 120 GB SSD for Windows OS.
Interested in answers to such questions:
1. Which Windows is best to choose in a pair of linux?
2. Is it worth installing Ubuntu on an SSD, otherwise I read that it feels much better on the HDD as well.

Pavilion g6
2.6 Ghz i5 + 8gb Ram + hdd + ssd + external monitor

It doesn't matter which windows will be installed with Ubuntu.
I would put the main system on an SSD (if you are going to be entertained < 50% of the time on windows then ubuntu, or vice versa).
