I made all the edits according to the TOR, but the customer insists that I make more edits for free, how can I explain to him?
The customer opened the project, agreed to make changes according to the TOR.
The option of 3 stages of payment was offered, with 1/3 of the sum through the safe, and then after the 1st stage payment 1/3, after the 2nd another 1/3 and stage 3 through the safe, that is, I essentially had a guarantee, but this is for me so it seemed. After the start of the project, it turned out that stages 1 and 2 are 1 and 2 files of TK, there were 2 files with TK, well, I agreed, there were few points and I wanted to do it faster. That is, it turned out that if I do all the technical specifications (1 + 2 files), and the customer does not want to pay for the 2nd stage, then I will receive only 2/3 of the amount (payment for the first stage + safe).
Now I have done all the TOR, but the customer wants me to make more edits that were not even mentioned in the TOR.
When I told him that this is not in the TK and that I can do it for an additional fee, he replied - "this TK does not need it, and so it's clear." Then I began to explain that we agreed to make specific items that are indicated in the TOR files, to which he replied -
“I don’t know, maybe this is the first project you are doing, of course, but usually they don’t describe the little things, this is already clear by default if the main page is configured , so all fields, menus, form shifts, are put in order.
Consult with someone who understands before entering into a discussion.
I would not like to move further in work with such a misunderstanding of the TK from the performer."
It is not clear which Main page is configured, the TOR refers to small edits such as: redesign the appearance of the menu, move the other menu a little, which I did, and even some edits that are not in the TOR but they roughly relate to items, and for what else in The TK specifically says what needs to be moved where?
Then he saw that the menu was not displayed correctly on the iphone, I corrected it, he wrote - the menu is ok, but I didn’t do what he said (something that is not in the TK), I wrote that I already said that this does not apply to the TK and I can to do this for a fee, to which he replied - "I do not agree with this", I replied - "What do you disagree with? So that I should not do something that we did not agree on?".
I immediately apologize for a bunch of text, I just wanted you to understand the whole situation, despite the fact that I already agreed to his budget and made a discount, there are also 3 menus on the site, and in the TOR it is written to change the appearance of a specific menu, but I changed all 3, because this is at least a little about TK.

And what is the actual question? Prior to work, a list of tasks was agreed = a certain payment?
Task completed - payment received.
I would like a few more edits - we agree on a new list of tasks, a new payment. Not satisfied - let him look for a new artist.
PS: it depends on the complexity of improvements, expediency .. most often it’s easier to make improvements and continue working with a person for $ :) no one canceled human qualities ..
From life: I once agreed to a couple of hours of improvements for free .. as a result, the customer and paid for it and have been working for almost a year at a normal rate
Let him pay for the work done.
Everything else - is decided after payment for the work performed.
UPD: "I propose to close this stage and move on to the next ..." (closing - payment for work).
