It doesn't need to be put on modx because that's what modx is. All these folders and files must be placed on the hosting in the site's domain folder. Set the permissions for folders to 755, and for files to 644. Edit the configuration files in the manager, connectors, core/config folders and in the root of the site - replace all paths corresponding to the new hosting, specify the database name, database username and password. Upload the database dump from the archive (a file with the .sql extension) into the database of the new site. All. We try to enter the admin panel (the login and password to which should also have been transferred).
If all this is a Chinese letter for you, it is better to find a specialist.

Perhaps this is a full backup of the site (files + database) and first you need to download it and see what's inside.

How was this archive created? is this a modx backup or just an archive of some site?

You still have to go freelancing.
