I don’t know where and how to start drawing and selling sprites for mobile and possibly PC games, how to be a game dev artist in principle?
Hello everyone, I would like to hear a couple of tips from knowledgeable people on the topic of drawing sprites for games, or just a game dev artist, I can draw in CG, I haven’t tried pixel graphics in vector graphics, I don’t know if it’s worth it, and even if I want to start, where to start , and where to promote your work, the purpose of all this is at least some slightest income and just gain experience and maybe get some material for your portfolio.
When drawing sprites for games, I often have questions like in which program to draw all this (I’m still drawing in Photoshop 2019 like the norm, but suddenly there are applications specifically for this and better) plus in what resolution to draw sprites that would fit under different screen resolutions of smartphones, tablets are not the point, plus are there any resources for people like me, maybe a book or a site with reviews for dummies.
Thanks to everyone who read this to the end, and I will be especially grateful to those who answer my question, even if not for the whole, but for some separate part.

If you want to draw sprites for unity developers, then learn photoshop, there are a lot of videos on YouTube on drawing sprites in photoshop for unity. Why unity? This is the most popular engine (51% of gem developers), you can upload and try your work in the unity assets store. But it's better to find indies or larger studios and freelance them with sprites. If you draw a rough map, then:
1.Learning photoshop
2.Learning how to make sprites
3.Looking for how to make animated sprites (they pay more for them and if you are cool, you will find cool studios and cool orders)
4.Looking for design, style, so that you I was able to draw 2D chuliks, 2D pixel characters, 3D Persians, high-quality 3D models.
5. Learn to draw the environment (background) of the game, this is a very important tip, since indie developers often rummage in the code in the mechanics, but not in the design, they can save money on making the characters themselves, but to make the environment of the scene to a person who cannot draw - almost impossible (we are talking about a good scene.)
6.Looking for shadows, light and such aspects, they are changing the perception and appearance in games today, look at GTA:SAN ANDRES from modifications to light! How the game has changed! It also does not depend on the 2D or 3D environment.
7. Make orders as cool as possible, hang out on forums and sites for developers (you can also freelance, but there are many like you.)
OR find yourself a team where you will be a walker and creator of the game.
P.S
I'm looking for a dude to help me with the sprites (I need a team member who can pixelate (like Terraria) a Japanese temple for example, but it's semi-free and pure chasing ideas). I myself am a beginner C# gem developer on the Unity engine, so don't hit hard for technical errors)
