Do it yourself

I appeal to those who are in St. Petersburg and who have a Thinkpad t520?

Yes, a previous generation thinkpad.
The fact is that at one time I bought myself a t530. Now I had an idea to change the keyboard on it to the old-style keyboard. Everything looks very similar to the eye, including everything on the keyboard and what is under the keyboard.
It's just that they don't sell it in St. Petersburg, so you need to order it. I just don't want to order and waste money.
Therefore, I ask those who have a T520 with whom you can meet in St. Petersburg and try to change the keyboard to yours, if everything goes well, I'll go order.
Whoever agrees with me beer and boundless gratitude!
Thank you for your attention.

Latest generation *20 and *30 keyboards are compatible :
At least x220 and x230 example:

But there will be problems due to BIOS: many of the keys will not work.
It must be specially patched (which no one seems to have done yet).
But the trend is becoming more and more depressing - apparently, Thinkpad, as a brand of worthy devices for business, died completely and irrevocably at the time of sale at Lenovo.
