I am looking for a program to track the time spent on a project
Greetings!
I really need a program for tracking time spent on a project (something like Hamster under Linux, but only under Windows).
Ideally, I see such a program:
- desktop version (no web);
- it is better that the program hangs in the tray;
- the ability to create several projects (or groups of tasks);
- the ability to add tasks to projects (or a group of tasks);
- and most importantly - this is the start / pause / stop of the task with automatic tracking of the time spent on the current task;
- summary information on the time spent (you can just a plate).
Once I found something similar (it hangs in the tray, you can create projects, tasks for projects, specify the cost of an hour, and then see the total cost of work on the project), but, unfortunately, I can’t remember where ... It would be cool if someone -someone saw her or something like that and answered my question.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Just found the ideal (for me) program that I need. This is exactly the program that I found earlier, but as unnecessary then I just skipped it.
I found a description of this program on the site: 123-box.ru/3254 The
program itself can be downloaded here: nicolasbouliane.com/ticks/ The
question is closed.
Tried a lot of options. Now we work with two employers through www.tahometer.com/. Also, not really a cake. But better than the rest.
Try yaware.com
But I'm not sure that its client, which tracks activity, will be able to work offline and take into account individual projects ...
Rather, it can be at the site / application level ...
Maybe it will come in handy. I like it.
I wrote something similar. If I find the source, I'll post it. The application uses mysql to store data. Data (projects) are grouped into folders, inside folders - tasks. The application is multi-user.
I chose http://www.manictime.com/tour/ for myself , there is a timer there, but the problem with timers is that you forget to turn them on / off.
The program keeps track of the time when the computer was used and records the titles of active windows, then it is easy to understand what you were working on and subtract the time that Habr was active, etc.
I found another similar program: Grindstone
Can create tasks, start a timer for tasks, display reports.
Program website: www.epiforge.com/Grindstone/
Free assistant Motivate Clock
Allows you to create separate projects and specify the list of applications required for work;
Allows you to calculate the amount of time spent on rest and work within the project;
Ability to track general statistics;
os windows
toster - motivateclock
