I usually add both sites to Google and Yandex webmaster and separate the regions. More than enough for them to understand what's what.

Each version of the site is a separate site in the eyes of the search engine, which means each has its own robots.txt and sitemap.
And both sites separately in the Yandex and Google webmaster panels with the region indicated.
There will be no duplication if the sites are really in different languages, and not a copied one site.
