Hydra. Number of parallel processes?

If you run in this form
"hydra -l login -P '/root/Desktop/top500.txt' -S -V -f smtp.mail.ru smtp",
and the correct password is on line 17 in the file, it will not be displayed how faithful.
In the program, you can set the number of parallel processes with the -t flag (16 by default).
If you add the -t 17 flag, it will work as needed. The maximum parameter -t is 64, and accordingly only 64 passwords are checked. How to make it work correctly for example for 500 passwords?

It can't be.
It just probably bans because of multithreading .
