html letter layout: why media queries don't work in gmail and yandex?

I made letters on the foundation for emails, inlined the styles, assembled the template, but as a result, media queries do not go through gmail and yandex, although the gmail off-blog claims that they support media queries since September.
Can you suggest what could be the problem?
Tested via putsmail (Litmus).
Perhaps I just put something wrong in Litmus, tk. if you look at the code of the letter in the mailbox, everything looks as if the tag with media queries was not added to the template.
I saw similar questions in Google blogs, but did not see the answers.

Yandex and Mail do not support media queries because a horse in a bathtub with cucumbers is the point of zhpg.
Gmail and Google Inbox announced support for media queries no more than two months ago. Therefore, if they work, it is most likely very damp.
