HTC One S won't turn on?

Hello!
In general, such a situation - HTC One S is discharged to zero and has not turned on since then. Didn't drop, didn't drown. The computer does not see it. When charging is connected, the orange charge indicator lights up steadily. Tried to charge overnight.
I found a lot of people on the Internet with the same problem, I tried different methods like “hold simultaneously on + sound-down when charging is on”, it does not help.
Actually questions:
1) What is it, from what and can the myth of pulling out the battery work? (it is hidden deep until it was pulled out)
2) If you bring it to the service, then how to protect yourself from scammers who did nothing special, but demanded 3k rubles for changing some kind of power controller?

In general, the problem was solved by taking out and "rocking" (I don't know what it is) the battery. I did it on Gorbushka, accidentally found an adequate master. The rest kept talking about the breakdown of the power controller (3-3.5 kilorubles). The issue price is 500 rubles. If the arms are straight and there is a tool, you can do it yourself.

1. Only an adequate service can work. As far as I remember, the battery can only be removed by peeling off the glass with everything that is adjacent to it?
