How would it be more correct to change the url in js or leave it as it is?

I have a product carousel. I want the url address to change when I click the details button on each product without reloading the page. I want to make it so that the user can share a certain product by simply copying the link in the address bar. What is the best way to implement the change of the address bar itself, and getting get parameters from it. I use JS and Vue.js. Any implementation would be helpful to me. Thanks
