How will performance increase with more RAM?
How performance increases when increasing the amount of RAM from 2GB to 4GB or from 2GB to 8GB. Where can I read about this or maybe someone has personal experience

if it’s 2 now, look at the processor’s bit depth, most likely it’s 32x, which means it won’t increase much,
but on Linux it increases proportionally
on Windows, the difference between 4 and 8 is most noticeable, for office work
and games they will gobble up as much as you like)), there 16 is not enough
There may not be an increase: an application that stupidly grinds numbers when using a couple of meters of RAM will definitely not work faster.
You can view the status of memory usage by looking at the Task Manager and Resource Monitor. If the memory is 100% or close to it, you need to buy more. If not, then buying an operative will give practically nothing. Different applications can eat up at least 8GB of memory, while economical ones will not take up 10 MB, so you need to look at the peak load of applications used on this computer. If resource-intensive applications are used (games, virtual machines, graphics packages), then you need to buy more RAM as much as the budget and motherboard allow.
If the paging file is now actively used, it will increase noticeably, if not, then you will not notice the difference
