How will it be from the SEO side?
1) Bad. So it is impossible....
2) Good. Nothing terrible will happen.
3) Nothing will happen. Robots don't care. Do not be afraid.

JS disabled does this still happen? well, except for entering through the torus and other atypical cases.
Modern search engine bots use modules like Phanton.js. They execute js wonderfully, click on buttons/links and therefore easily navigate js navigation, especially if you use standard navigation from Angular, Ember, Backbone or similar.

2. Navigation in js is pure evil.
+ think about what if js is disabled? These are unnecessary problems or a waste of time for a valid version.
If anchor links, then js is not needed here either, simple html.
In any case, if the search engine cannot go through the url itself, it will not know about ...
On the other hand, such navigation is not useful for SEO, so disable indexing and do whatever you want.
1st rule. You are doing this for people, not for bots.
Yandex likes what people love.

And in general, what prevented you from going to Wikipedia like me and seeing how they did it?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
