How to write information about software changes to the update log?
Hello.
A question. There is a DBMS server, there are client machines. On clients, application software for working with the DBMS server. There is also a CI server where applications are built. On the DBMS server there is a sign (update log) where you need to write all the changes that were made during the next build. There is no connection between the CI server and the DBMS, but there is an application server that sees both CI and the DBMS. Previously, the assembly was carried out on the developers' machines, they wrote changes to the log, now the assembly is automatic and there was a problem how to write changes to the log if there is no connection between the build server and the DBMS.
The first thing that comes to mind is to write a script on the application server that would accept a request from CI and write to the database. Perhaps there are some other ways? Please share your thoughts.
Applications are assembled by FinalBuilder, DBMS - Oracle 11g.
Thanks in advance for any answer.
